Is there a typical release schedule for new models?

I'm thinking about buying an NP8150, but I would gladly wait a few months if they're due for a new model. Seems like the NP8150 has been around a while.

I'm pretty sure there will be a full refresh of the product line when Ivy Bridge releases (at least, that's what I'm hoping for and dealing with my 4 year old laptop for those extra months in anticipation of). Here's to hoping the new 17" model will ACTUALLY have a 17" keyboard. :\

I hope the new models DONT have glossy piano lack finishes. I hate this.

Also hoping they stay away from rubberized finish too. My P150HM is nice, but the rubberized stuff is extremely hard to clean.

Also hoping for AT LEAST 75% extra GPU performance with the 7000 series.

Also - hoping for 4.5Ghz Turbo boost on 3760QM

More hoping - for full USB 3.0 outs (Ivy Bridge CPUs support it natively)

Secretly hoping for the new PCI-Express 3.0 that the CPUs support too

Prices - hopefully the same or maybe even somewhat cheaper....?

^^^ The 8150 was released the 3rd week in January of this year.

The next mobile release is a few months away. No ETA at all at this time. :)

I feel like this is the least likely thing that could happen.

I was hoping to buy a new notebook this year, but realized I won't have the necessary funds. On the bright side, by the time I save enough cash for a new one, I will have the option to buy the Ivy Bridge version. It's just so hard to read all the posts about these Clevos/ Sagers and not lust after one.

Another thread showed new models tied to ivy bridge chipset+CPU, which means they couldn't be out before March 2012, probably more like April

I also heard some rumors that 16:10 might make a come back. ;)
