Hello I am using W230SS and installed all the clevo drivers. I am quite annoyed by this "CAPS LOCK ON" indicator whenever I press caps lock and finding a way to remove it.

I believe this is from the Hotkey Control Center. Is there a way to disable the indicator?

    Much appreciated :)

Have you browsed through the control centre options? (Right click the icon)

There is no way that I know of to disable it other than not having the "hotkey" app running. You can still use the Fn keys you just won't get the OSD.

I guess you are using P150EM or something that's why your hotkey version is different from mine. Glad that yours offers the options to disable the K/B indicator. :)

I am using V.1.19.21 and only hopes that Clevo will offer us the options to disable it.

    here is a work around,

go to the folder where you extracted the driver.

    edit the file OEM.ini

change the line ShowOSD=1 to ShowOSD=0

    save it

copy and overwrite the edited file to the hotkey installed folder in c:\Program Files (x86)\hotkey\

    reboot the system

you can also just edit the oem.ini file in the installed folder, but saving the changes might give you some issues depending windows UAC / Security settings.

or you can uninstall and reinstall the hotkey driver with the edited OEM.ini file.

this should hide the OSD for you.

It doesn't work unfortunately.... I can only prevent it from appearing by uninstalling the hotkey entirely.

    EDITED*
It seems that after uninstalling the hotkey, the headphone audio jack doesn't work. I have no choice but to install the hotkey control and leave it open to prevent caps screen on screen display from appearing....

I wonder if Autohotkey could capture the keystroke before the Clevo hotkey program sees it. Then perhaps you could manually create the caps lock functionality with the shift key locked down or something... Just the beginnings of a musing really rather than an actual suggestion. ;)
