light use, not for games, just something cheap, like the Toshiba L300 series or other cheap 14-15 notebooks.

I used the FAQ to fill in the top thread of the forum but didn't get me anywhere.
It is for my mother and she is not willing to spend over 600 euros. While that money is plenty in the USA for a good cheap notebook, in many cases it is not enough here. For example the Vostro 1700 where in the USA can be at about $700, here is almost double that. (950 euros or something).

I used this very good site www.skroutz.gr which seaches stock/prices in Greece. I can find the Toshiba L300 11M for 499 euros (this model) and it is what it feels the best choice.
The reason I asked about Clevo is because it would be very cool to buy one such similarly priced notebook and be a Clevo.
Considering the two Clevo resellers in Greece (plaisio and multirama) only have way over priced models of Clevo notebooks (and when calling them say that notebooks can't be custom specced...) I was wondering if you guys know of any such cheap Clevo based model.
But I guess I will have to tell her to get the Toshiba and hope it will be ok, in terms of build quality and support.
