There was some refs to "initial supplies of Q9650's" having been bought up by big fish like HP during initial release this month.

Are these cpu's available in reasonable quantities at Sager right now? If a D901C is ordered with this chip, is there anything that will disrupt the 7-10 business day order cycle?

Step in here Justin and confirm you can build and ship 9262's with Q9650 with no delays, or let us know what the backlog looks like please.

Will orders for this config placed this weekend be fullfilled before end of Aug? (that's '08 im talkin bout :D )

Andy that thread is dated. The issue has been resolved with the cpu, my question goes to availability to fullfill 9262 orders with the Q9650 placed this weekend. If you check the website, Power & Xotic will accept orders for this config as of today.

But taking orders is not the same as filling orders in timely fashion

Well as soon as I learned that they are available I sent a email to powernotbooks asking for a upgrade, 10 minutes later Tim from powernotebooks emailed me back saying that they are taking orders and there would only be a few days delay.Yipee!
I don't know how much of a supply they have but I had no problem.
They might have limited quantities and be first come first serve.
They are probably filling out existing orders first with the new upgrade.
I am so glad I contacted Tim so early.
    Thanks Tim from PowerNotebooks! :)

Sager has plenty of Q9650's at this time. That big fish rumor is just that...an unfounded rumor.

The only issues that might delay shipping are that the Sager production line is currently working at capacity to get all of the orders for all of the new models shipped, and there might be some other component in your configuration that might be in a temporary shortage.

In any event, it is better to contact your vendor directly to discuss the availability and ship times for your specific configuration.
