I have someone selling this laptop with these specs shown below for $1050. I believe this is a good deal, I tried to find similar models on sale on eBay currently, and I do not see any. Would anyone be able to verify with me and give me insight?

    Model: SAGER NP9873-S (CLEVO P870DM3)
    Monitor: 17.3'' 2560 x 1440p l 120 Hz l 5ms l G-Sync
    GPU: nVidia GTX 1080
RAM: 32GB DDR4 2400 MHz Dual Channel Memory
    Storage: 1 TB SSD

Honestly, I have never owned a Sager laptop before, so this would be my first laptop from them. I have previously owned only ASUS gaming laptops and have had 0 issues with them.

I currently own am ASUS G752 with a 1070 and i7-6700 (without the K). So this would be a minor upgrade with no money loss, if I sell my current ASUS gaming laptop.

That's a great deal actually if the laptop is in good condition. It will feel like a upgrade from your old system. Good luck

More suited to the members market area but seems pretty sweet.

Just be sure the seller is legitimate.

Yeah, I am going to take a look at the laptop today in person before purchasing it. If it's in good condition, I will cop it today. I was looking into Sager laptops and they seem pretty promising!

So, I was doing a little research on this laptop, it's components are still fairly up to date compared to what's in the market now correct? It has a 1080 which is a strong GPU, but I read some places that this computers comes with 2 1080's but I believe the one I am looking at only contains one.

Does this laptop have any overheating issues either, do we know?

Read the owners lounge to get a full idea. All machines come with two slots but the heatsink you get varies.

I just got the laptop, but there's a very orangy color to skin tones of people in videos and pictures, I feel as if the color on this laptop is strange. I tried to delete the current graphics drivers, and it helped with the washed out colors but certain things look a bit too orange. Any suggestions on how to fix this?

If it helps, when I move the angle of my laptop screen certain colors look differently.

Which make and model is the screen? You can find out through Device Manager or us HWiNFO64.

You could try adjusting the gamma in the Windows calibration tool or invest in a colorimeter if you don't mind spending a little more $. Also, make sure Night Mode isn't enabled.

Night mode is off, and I cannot see the model of the screen under device manager. What am I looking under device manager? Under monitors it only says "Generic PnP Monitor"

The make and model of the display usually called the panel. :)

So that's the 3k 120hz panel, it's not the most colour accurate panel but did not have orange shift issues generally. Might be worth playing with the colour profiles.

Where would I go about doing this? I tried to adjust the gamma settings, but it's still a weird orangy color on certain things such as brown color skinned people in a video are very orangy. It looks very bright, any specific things you recommend doing the color profiles?

I believe windows allows manual colour adjustment. If you Google that it should come up with some results. Not something I have had to play with.

Or if you don't mind spending the $, you could invest in a calibration device.

It could be a bad panel, if the manual correction does not help then it may need replacing.

Hmm, how much does a panel replacement cost? And are the easy to install?

Aghh, it's a great laptop just the colors look really funky, I am not sure why. It doesn't look as crisp as my ASUS G752 while on the desktop and web browsing.

The 1440p panel is tuned for speed rather than outright clarity. That's why it was dropped for the 1080p 144hz panels.

I ended up deleting the current nVidia drivers on the computer and reinstalled and it fixed everything. Everything looks crisp and good now! No more weird washed out colors!! :)
