SO, im upgrading this thing from 2 gb of RAM to 4 gb.. I'm looking to get 4gb 800. So, i found this:
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820227251
Is this good RAM for the D901c. Its also only 50 bux for the next few days, so i need a reply fast if any1 can.

also, do i need to do any BIOs updating since im on the first mobo (9260) or does windows pick up on this type of hardware change. I know the first thing to do wen i get these is to run memtest, don't worry about that.

Give me your internet and I'll tell you.

Yes, it should be fine. Pretty sure Fry's had 1x2GB sticks though recently for 13 dollars after MIR. Just throwing that out there.

FRYS is only 5300... i know its not a BIG deal, the diff between 6400 and 5300, but this is hopefully my last upgrade of RAM i'll be doing to this... gotta do it right. assuming its not faulty. BTW, if i memtest and find bad sectors, does newegg except that as a reason to replace for new sticks? cuz its not like physically broken and it sometimes does work with bad sectors. I just dont want it with any.

Just say you're getting BSODs and you ran a memtest and failed, they'll accept that as enough.

also.. i noticed newegg had other 800 RAMS from like crucial, kingston, and others. Should i possibly buy from them for the 20 dollars more, or OCZ is just as reliable and this is actually a decent deal? 50 bux for 4 gigs

OCZ is a very good brand. Lots of people here at NBR buy OCZ for their laptops.
