Lately, whenever I wake my 8130 up from sleep mode, the wireless adapter seems to take FOREVER to initialize. I'm talking 2-3 minutes before it can connect. I didn't have this issue with my last laptop, so I don't think it's the router causing the issue.

Driver is 14.1.1.3, dated 5/1/2011. I think that's the latest, the Intel site has 14.1.1 listed.. Also, the router is a Zyxel pk5000z.

Same here. I just reboot and it instantly connects.

Some more info: I can see the networks immediately when I wake it up, but it can't connect to any of them. I try to tell it to connect to the router ip, but it fails to connect just like any other webpage. Any ideas?

Does it reconnect if you do FN+F11 to turn off WiFi and then turn it back on? How about disabling and re-enabling from Network and Sharing Center > network adapters? (Or alternatively, command prompt > ipconfig /release > ipconfig /renew

Just tried both of those methods you mentioned. It takes maybe 20-30 seconds when using the fn+f11 method, and is pretty much instant when I disable the adapter and re-enable it. Seems to me like some kind of power management issue? I have it set to maximum performance and unchecked the box that allows windows to put the card to sleep to save power..

That's how it sounds. And it seems as though you took care of the only two options that could be putting it in power saving mode.
