    Laptop Model: Sager NP8640-S (Clevo P640RE) Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-6700HQ CPU @ 2.60Hz 2.60Hz OS: Windows 10 Home

When I turn on my laptop, I have an issue with my laptop screen. The screen flashes and has little white pixel dots appearing in the screen and also something that looks like static on old televisions.

I researched a bit online and read that it could be that the LCD connector either needs replacing or is not connected properly to the motherboard. I took the case off my laptop to see if I could spot this cable but I’m not tech savvy enough to know where it is.

Here is a picture of my laptop without the case: https://imgur.com/a/bJPkP

Can anyone tell me where the LCD connector is so that I can check if it’s plugged in properly or not?

If you have any other advice or ideas what may be causing this problem, I would really appreciate any help I can get!

    Thank you!

The motherboard-end of the cable is right underneath that mess at the right:

Looks indeed a bit crammed. The cable should be threaded though a small outcutting in the mb, between the mb and fan casing. Best is to unplug all cables there and thread+plug them one by one, a little cleaner this time. There's the lcd cable, one or two fan cables and the two wifi cables to take care of. Doesn't matter which wifi antenna you hook up to which of the card's connectors, so no need to keep them apart. Remember to remove the laptop battery first, of course.

Mind that the cable issue can also be at the lcd end, where it uses a much thinner connector. To reach that you have to remove the bezel; two screws near each hinge, underneath a rubber pad. After unscrewing these the bezel can simply be clicked free from the lid using your nails. Take care not to bend the bezel too much as the plastic is quite flimsy.

How are you faring with this so far? Did reseating the cable at either end help?
