Darn, no update to the 5791 on that site
Eurocom is getting the silver trim version late next week. I was going to pick it up if the 8800m was compatible.
-
damn, nothing about 570 ru
-
it is supported dont worry..
-
Yeah I am sure 570ru is supporter because UK based seller Rock direct has the 8800 as an option for the Rock 770 which is the 570ru

I'm sure we all suspected that the D901C supported the 8800M-GTX but it's great to get a solid confirmation.

All you current owners of the 9260/9261 how are you upgrading your laptops?
Are you planning on letting someone do it or are you waiting for someone to sell you the card seperately? if so, who? -
Thank goodness this has finally been confirmed
I have been worryed about the upgradability of my 9261 since the 8800's were revealed.

+1 respect to all you guys who are getting a Clevo, especially something like D901C.
And yeah, Clevo owners are proud Clevo owners.
My next machine is going to be a Clevo too[Whenever that is. Probably like fall, I'm not sure].
-
BTW, video card installation is documented in the user manual. -
Having had mine apart an hour after it arrived to install memory, I am planning to do this myself when the cards are out. It is not difficult just take your time and discharge any static before handling any of the components.
-
also keep some intoxicants near by. TRUST ME. you will need them in case you break something. plus I'm just no good with a screwdriver sober.
-
"intoxicants"
Wish I had some here! It really isn't difficult should take about 30 minutes or so to do this. -
-

yes it is thx for ur sevice
Oh and congratz on ur new order -
Yes the cards are "out" but Nvidia does not sell MXM cards to the general public (even though they damn should) Where are you going to get hold of the cards from? -
-
-
I am so stoked. Imagine 8800M GTX in SLI, can't wait.
-
I'm not, and I cant be, because I'm getting this laptop in Europe -
Umberto, I decided to buy it in USA since I had only bad experiences with German resellers. I know, there is a risk if something goes wrong and you have to send it back, but... what to do?
-
-
all you folks out there with the NP 9261 hows your battery life like just for curiousity's sake..??
-
1,25 hour - normal use and wireless on
-
Just over an hour, but I have not even tried to optimize for any kind of battery life yet. I think with some tinkering you could get it to 1.5+ a little. If you are looking for something that has a really good battery life this probably is not going to make you happy. But if you are looking for something that can run of of the battery while moving locations or for short times without power it will do okay.
-
yeh im not fussed bout the battery, coz it will be plugged in most of the time. but im also getting one of these
http://www.specialtech.co.uk/spshop/customer/product.php?productid=4387&cat=0&page=1
to supplement the battery when travelling
It's Oficial, Clevo d901c Supports 8800GTX!
