    JMicron SD/Memory Stick Pro Duo Reader: Cannot Recognise the Card Sometimes but Works Normally Once Recognised?

    Whenever I put in my SD or Memory Stick Pro Duo card into my JMicron card reader in my NP8170/Clevo 8170 HM, I could not get it to see my card (and that's why it will not appear in My Computer). However, once I get it to do so somehow (e.g. lifting the card a little while it remains in the card slot), it will work normally...

    Anyone else having this issue?

    yup same here on my rig (see sig). i figure its some kinda issue with the contact pins. altho i dont really mind it too much,so far ive always gotten it to read my memory cards :)

    Same, but I don't recall this happening right out of the box; it started only after some time (say, 3 months ago?)
