Just got the 7970m (with a 3610qm) in a p150em, and barring getting used to having to manually assign games and the fans that take far too long to spin down it's fine, but playback of 720p mkv videos is incredibly jerky.

The VLC statistics though tell me that no frames are being dropped or buffers lost, and the mpc hc tearing test detects nothing, even though its still lagging while its testing.

Anyone had this problem and found a solution?

Edit: found it, I reinstalled the intel hd 4000 drivers, works great now

Yeah, it's fixed now by reinstalling the drivers, but I don't think I would need the 7970m for videos, the hd4000 is more than enough for 1080p content
