I just received the NP5796 yesterday, everything went okay but I have run into two problems:

First of all, the BT module seems to be missing. I have installed all the drivers and I don't see it being listed on device manager (There is no "unknown device" listed) I wonder if they forgot to put that module in?

Secondly, I have two external harddrives (one is a 160G WD passport and the other one is a 2.5" Hitachi 200G 7200rpm in an external case, both of them get power from USB port.) But the WD one acts weird when it is plugged in to the rear of the computer (it will keep mount/unmount itself every 2 seconds, and the drive becomes unusable), while it is normal when it is plugged in on the side.) The hitachi one doesn't have this problem. The WD drive would act like it doesn't have enough power to run, but the funny things is, it is only 5400rpm and the Hitachi is 7200rpm! I don't know what's the problem? do I have a faulty USB port? Because when I plug in to the back the usb cable doesn't go too far in. Would it also be the chipset driver problem? Because it doesn't seems to happen before I updated the driver.

Sorry it was a long post, but any suggestion would be appreciated. ;)

1: check for a key combination for turn on the bluetooth. something like FN+8 or something like that.

2: you wd takes more poswer so you will need to power it up by using a usb power cord as well as it getting power form the port. (usng two usb ports) or plugged in to an outlet using a 5 volt adapter.

But the thing is, when I plug it in to the side of the computer the WD works just fine. Maybe the ports on the side provides more power than those ports on the back? The WD only has one usb port, and I am using the usb cord from WD, so it seems weird to me....any ideas?

not wired at all... just like desktop computers...the front usb ports wont have as much power as the ones on the rear, unless y9ou switch the jumper on the motherboard. some laptops are like this... not all their ports supply a constant 5 v.
