Me too. Not that that is bad, but you are one lucky person. When did you need to buy these computers by? The q9550 is supposed to drop to the q9450 prices soon (rumored at August 10th) so that could've been an option. However, from what I have read online, the performance difference really isnt that big of a deal if you couldnt have waited it out. Heck, I might even place an order today with the q9450 even though I know about the price drop!
Bottom line: I am envious of you.

The 9262 is supposed to be my Desktop Replacement i want the 17'' the 3 Hard drives and hole package,as for the NP8660 will be the laptop that ill be using in work, this means data for work, travelling alot and portability..
Since i leave in Europe i wanted to make one order and get done with this for not additional shipping costs etc.I waited for close a year watching and checking every laptop in the market and i ended up that this was the best choice since 9262 seems like a reliable choice after of months of beeing in market.I was so close to ended up with M17X but the problems and the bad fame AW had made me get no risks and go with Clevo.
Anyway time will tell, now my only concern is when will be here :D :D

You could get a portable desktop computer and a np8660. This way you will be able to build a more powerful laptop for a cheaper price.

    Congratulations on the purchase, DevlReD!!
The 9262 is too heavy to use as a real portable computer, for that purpose you can use the 8660. I had a bit of the same dilemma, but I chose to take the 5796 as the sweet spot in between.
But having a 9262 AND 8660 blows everything out of the water :D

    Too late for that!! :p

if u got money to spare, why dont u get the 9800 GTX , and later upgrade to SLI, i dont think it is of a big $ difference, but should be performance wise

It did troubled me but performance wise from what i read in the forum the increase will be a max +10-15% and doesnt worth the money diference to me,if im not mistaken the only diference was on ram and shaders, anyway is not that i had money to spare these were savings of some months work for a full loaded m17x but for reliability reasons i choose Clevo .

Ill try to give any informations needed to potential customers when i have them in my hands including some photos, comparisons and some benchs but i dont have time for a full review.

What kind of work do you do anyway!?!? You can keep the 9262 ... but I may be interested in the 8660. :D

No offense but if you have that much money to spend, there is absolutely no reason to get a laptop for a desktop replacement when you could get a desktop for about the same price that would be 10 times better.

Not to mention you could get a nice 24+ inch flat screen monitor with that kind of money. I seriously think what you did was kind of a waste.

you mean 9800GTX sli to 9800GT sli only 10%......no one can say that for sure...i think with future games having better support for sli, it might be more...i am still holding out to see how it goes.
I hate waiting after being all fired up and ready to get....

No offense, but that's a rather parochial mind-set - why is it that notebooks are supposed to be cheap, but not desktops (notwithstanding that the components are usually more expensive because of space constraints)?

Second, not all of us have a sprawling spare room that we can convert over into a computer-based media center; some of us do, after all, live in NYC apartments, where space is at a premium, and on top of that, some of us have little children who like to explore, e.g., "gee, daddy puts those round things in this slot all the time...peanutbutter & jelly san'wich is about the same size...maybe it's a san'wich eater machine!"

Third, desktops are messy affairs, no matter how carefully you bundle your wires and cables, use wireless keyboards and mice, and stack your components. By contrast, a DTR notebook is nice and neat - all contained in one package - fold it up and it slides nicely into a drawer in the cabinet.

So, perhaps there were valid reasons to get what he got, hmmm?

But congrats. I'm struggling to buy one laptop
