not entirely true. if you do heavy multi-tasking the performance increase is huge. if you are only playing a game and waiting for a level to load from the hard drive the performance increase is almost non-existent.
raid 0 is designed to do this real life example; run a full system scan using spybot and adaware along with an antivirus program. at the same time copy 1 gig of data from another source like a flash memory to a location on your hard drive. while all this is happening you will have enough "hard drive power" to be in your CAD or rendering environment and be surfing the internet at the same time.
try doing all that in a non-raid, single disk and watch the computer system crawl to a halt. you won't even be able to access windows explorer while all this happening. with hardware raid 0 you can.

guys any paint suggestions??
-
I got mine few days ago (but I sent it back because the paint was partly damaged an the RAM didn't work - it was not from Xotic of course). It had just the lamborghini orange (on the top and around the keyboard). It was looking good, but I suggest you the Ferrari Red instead...

hmm...well the lambo wont look good with the ferrari red now wud it
...im a big big lambo fan...its a dream car for me....so thats y i goin for that....although on the other hand i cud get the 599 gtb fiorano on it to with the red
-
I didn't mean you have to use the lamborghini logo with the ferrari red... I was just talking about colours... orange and yellow generally don't armonize with the rest of the furniture... red is more "classical"...

well yea but then if u thinkin about armonizing...then blacks the better amongst both o em isnt it...only a thought ofcourse
-
Well black fits everywhere, but it is also pretty "normal"... I wouldn't spend 439 $ just to make my black-grey notebook "black".

Your kidding me right.....
I totally agree with ARGH.....
Raid 0 is the way to go... Just make sure you backup your data.
You will notice a difference... especially with Anti-Virus.. and Loading games..
If you do virtualization like me... .It does make it much quicker...

Another thing.... Since most apps write to virtual memory quite a bit... Having Raid0 will speed that up also...
