Toshiba Qosmio X305 gaming laptop has the following specifications:
* Intel Core 2 Duo 3.0GHz processor, overclockable
* 1GB Nvidia GeForce GTX video card
* 4GB DDR3 RAM (up to)
* 17-inch WSXGA+ (1680x1050) display
I hope the next generation of Clevo D901C will have something like:
* Intel Quadcore overclockable (desktop processor, fore sure)
* 1GB Nvidia GeForce 10 series hi-end card
* 4GB DDR3 RAM (up to)
* 17-inch WUXGA
* HDMI & Usb 3.0

Ok,first off.
The D901C is the most powerful DTR on the planet, period.
Secondly, the 1Gb N GTX is the 9800M GTX
WUSGXA? what?
USB 3.0 ?
Sounds to me you want a D900X -
mistyping: WUXGA - 1920x1200 -
It already has that.(WUXGA)
And about the 10th series, not even the desktop world has seen them, so it will be at least 1 year till you will see the mobile parts.
Heck, nobody even saw the 9800M GTX in action yet... -
-
I hope the next generation of Porsche 911 will have something like:
*W16 engine
*flight ability
*diving ability
*auto-painting ability
*weapon system
*weight less than 500lbs
*stronger than a tank
*inbuilding refrigeratory
* passive hotties attract system -
you forgot space travel with sub-light engines...
-
btw i guess there wont be any 10 series! cause nvidia is releasing their GTX 280s(desktop)! last time i checked they're priced like $915!!!:S
and are available for pre-order on some European sites!!
So, i guess nvidia will be taking lappy gpus the GTX 280 way!?? -
This is the technology dream thread.
I want a 10h battery life out of my next Clevo with tri SLI geforce 280GTX2. -
The_Observer 9262 is the best:)
It's a good dream.
-
If the D901c has Sli 9800, then it has 2GB Vram.
The D901c should support 8GB Ram
Even if the proc in the D901c is not OC'able, itll sitll be better than anything the Toshiba will have. -
It depends Vedya ... what if the new Toshiba is a Montevina one and features quite a big selection of CPUs?
I wouldn't count it out just yet.
*awesome avy btw, just saw the Manbearpig episode today with my gf for the 5th time-rewatching all the series* -
anybody have a dream?
-
of finally getting this retarded m860tu laptop that is taking up more of my time than it should before i even own it.
-
Yea,every time I sleep
What I want is an ultraportable,with huge screen,shock and mechanical full-proof,armored,super light,and with the fastest imaginable components on the planet.

my dream is close to becoming true, maybe within a year. -
I can't wait till they start incorporating these pico projectors into laptops as well. -
When I upgrade my laptop a ~year from now...
Latest 15.6" Clevo as a Sager
WUXGA LED
3.20 GHz Dual Core, 10MB L2, 1668MHz(?)
4GB RAM also running at 1668MHz(?)
128GB SSD, or 320GB 7200rpm
nVidia 9600 GT 512MB or whatever the best sub-17" card is (M260 GT?)
Blu-Ray (will be less than $200 at that time)
Cost will be $2000-2200
Known as the L960TU ("L" is Clevo's code letter for LCD)
Think that's feasible? -
since we are dreaming, i would like for clevo to make the M570TU with dual HD, dual GPU, HDMI & eSATA ports. the D901C is too dang bulky.
-
-
Dual hdd is possible...I know it.
-

-
Well, I`m getting a 1730 soon so I`ll tell you how my rheumatism goes
-
-
Yes I am. For 2000$ and 3 year Complete Care,can you give me a better deal?
-
The_Observer 9262 is the best:)
So you took it Eleron.Congratulation.Did you sell the your 5760 yet?
-
Have a customer waiting for it.
I will have a chance to compare both for a while , so I`ll be the resident Clevo-Dell liaison -
An offer you couldn't refuse, eh?If something like that comes along, you've just gotta take it - despite the haunted fever-dreams of some, the 1730 and the D901C are pretty closely matched overall - each has its particular strengths and weaknesses - so you're getting an awesome deal for $2,000, and you'd be a numbskull to turn it down.

I remember FadeToBlack`s post about SLI ...you could get laid for 700$ and it`d be better.
To twist the truth a bit, the world has both
SLI gaming, here I come -
And eleron, yeah go for the Dell, but get a custom paint job or something.

Toshiba is just dangling a carrot in front of your impressionable face... so you don't go out and do something stupid, like buy a more reliable system with a better track record.
