This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Hoping it's a good one! NVidia GTX 1060, i7 6700HQ, etc. I got the Samsung 950 Pro SSD too for better future-proofing.

    Any recommendations for a good burn in test to run before installing the OS?

    Even without buying an OS it will have been tested, get one on there and run some real applications and test out the sound/screen/ports/temps under load. These are the sorts of things that can be impacted by shipping.
