Hello, I'm gonna be a proud owner of a NP9262 in about one week and a half from now. My only concern is it's thickness, just how thick is it? I read the dimension off another thread and 2.35" is mentioned.. I checked.. it's somewhat impossibly thick.. really!?

That's sad, I just ordered Crumpler's "The Customary Barge" right after I ordered the notebook (MORE LIKE DICTIONARY) and I'm afraid it might not fit in it's laptop sleeve. What bags do you people use?

    Thank you!

That's about the size of it. :D It's about half the height of a standard soda/beer can.

the M570RU is almost the same thickness.

The D901C is slightly thicker with the space for 3 HDDs, SLI videocards, LGA775 CPU, and the beefiest cooling system for a notebook to date. :)

The upcoming M17x is slightly thinner, but we wont know about its efficiency for cooling... since the M15x had so many cooling issues.

Hold on. The 9262 is 2.35" thick which is about 6 cm. The 5793 is 1.8" thick (near the back) or 4.6cm. So firstly I think 1.4 cm speaking of notebooks is fairly significant (0.6 inches) secondly.. the 5793 slims down to 1 inch in the front while correct me if I am wrong but the 9262 is 6 cm (2.35") throughout. That makes a huge difference.

Actally the 9262 slims down at the front too (maybe by 1cm) but not as much as the 5793.

Well, to the first point - is your 12 y.o. lappy just as powerful? Second, and more generally, since the D901C has a desktop processor, a more apt comparison might be to how a desktop measures up to a standard soda/beer can. Any takers? I didn't think so! :D

So what bags do you use for it? Need one badly since I'm always on the go.. budget is $300 max. Thank you for your quick replies and I especially appreciate that comparison to a soda can.

For something as large as a Clevo D900 notebook:
    - (backpack) Targus XL
    - most roller bags that can fit it will work.

    I got.. this bag:

Will be canceling it then, sucks that most sites don't have support on weekends. Still, do you think it'll fit? Even in the middle? I kinda got attached to it. How about this one?

By the way, is it me or is the Sager site down?

many of you will laugh at me.. but i use the stock back that came wiht my laptop.... lol
i live in NYC, so the shoulder strap and what not make it look more like a business bag than a laptop one.... plus wen my shoulder gets tired, i switch to heavy briefcase mode lol.

I use the same one too, with my 5791, with lots of books, adapter, mouse, network cable, dvds and some other stuff.
    It`s great,elegant and robust.
But, I`d sugest the same things as Gophn , this thing is heavy and you`ll want a lot of cushioning for the shoulders.

Haha the included bag doesn't sound so bag. I mean, the wouldn't include it if they didn't have faith that it couldn't bring a 11.55 pound laptop with a ridiculously huge power adapter right?

HAHA, yea, normal to YOU. but on the rare occasions i brought this beast to class... EVERYONE stared at it. When i left, even my professor goes, "thats a beautiful piece of equipment ya got there, probably expensive too!"

    rite on both counts!

What I always love is people that complain about the weight of the D901C but don't actually own one. Very nice. While those of us that do own one, it's not a problem.

May be it's better for you to get a M1730 due to warranty issues.

Or why not just add a 8800 to your laptop. It is possible isn't it?
