I was torn between the 5792, the more sanely priced 5791, the xps, Asus and so many others... but I just put my foot down and got it:

    1 x NP5792

    - Display: 17" Wide Viewing Angles WUXGA LCD with Super Glossy Surface (1920 x 1200)[+$145.00]
    - Processor: Intel® Core™ 2 Duo Processor T7700 / 4MB L2 Cache, 2.40GHz, 800MHz FSB[+$140.00]
    - Video & Graphics Card: Nvidia GeForce 8800M GTX Graphics with 512MB DDR3 Video Memory
    - Operating System: Genuine MS Windows® VISTA Home Premium 32/64-Bit Edition
    - Memory: Special Offer - 4GB Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM at 667MHz - 2 X 2048MB[+$45.00]
    - Primary Hard Disk Drive: 200GB 7200rpm SATA 150 Hard Drive[+$165.00]
    - Optical Drive: 8X DVD±R/RW/4X +DL Super-Multi Drive & Software
    - Wireless Network Card: Intel PRO/Wireless 4965AGN - 802.11A/B/G/N Wireless LAN Module
    - Bluetooth: Internal Bluetooth Module
    - Primary Battery: Smart Li-ION Battery Pack
    - Integrated Security Device: Fingerprint Reader
    - Warranty: Sager One Year Standard Warranty
    - Carrying Bag: Standard Carrying Bag
    $2,694.00

For those of you who have ordered directly from Sager before, how long does it generally take? I got the cheapest shipping option (though $40 for shipping is far from cheap, or so I think.)

I think xoticpc warranty is only 3 years Labour and 1 year Parts Std if you want 3 years labour and parts is another $157

xoticpc does have some good deals, but with the operating system it actually came to $2584. And since I would be paying with a credit card, I wouldn't get that rebate (as far as I can figure out) so I'm about back to what I'd be paying Sager. Probably would have gone with them, had I known, but either way it'll be a great laptop.

But still, does anyone have any idea how long shipping and processing takes?

    Better to ask Sager.
