I wanted to keep it under $2000 and I did, it came out to around $1920. Anyway, I figured this cpu, this amount of ram and this video card should be just FINE for me until later on when I feel I want to upgrade it I can do that and hopefully by then the parts will also be cheaper too. I felt the ability to be able to upgrade to the 9800 GTX was a very nice option and thats why I opted for the 5796 as opposed to the 8660. Either way, I needed the laptop before August 2nd, so waiting for the NP8860 wasnt an option. I'll be running XP btw.

I think it will be just perfect for what I need and I'm very excited to recieve it now. Btw I ordered from XoticPC.

It looks good though you might want to get another gig of ram, 2 gigs is kinda pushing the limits especially when gaming.

He did the smart thing and got one DIMM. He can pop another 1GB or 2GB DIMM in there when he has the money.

The lighter CPU shouldn't matter that much for gaming. Very smart build!

    Awesome setup for under 2k!

I'd think 2 GB of ram will work pretty nice with xp.
