Whew...I finally bit the bullet and ordered it.

I got the high res screen, P9600, 4GB ram, 320GB 7200rpm hdd, and the Logitech gaming mouse.

Ended up around $1972 + international shipping to Korea for $249 = $2221....

PLUS when I get it I have to pay another $250 in import taxes...that's almost $2500.

If only I were back in the States right now, I could have got the cash rebate and had a total of only $1948 including shipping! Ugh...

Oh well, I'm sure it'll all be worth it!

If you order it from USA, just buy a barebone with much lower price.
Then buy the other components in your country. :D

korea has a lot of great electronics, but severely lacks in gaming laptops. i've been do all the big places. they didn't even have the high-end asus ones..and this is east asia! oh well, i hope this thing lasts a long time..
now i just need to get a zalman cooler. at least those are actually made in korea!

    Hi jmoore
I ran into the same problem as you, i'm also in south korea as an english teacher looking for a portable yet powerful laptop, and after running across this realized for its size its the best out, but unavailable in korea~!
I've looked at others here but they just don't seem to be that good in comparison.
Can i ask who you ordered with, i've already had a quote from pctorque that they ship international for $200US

i went through xoticpc....however my order just got canceled! apparently you can't pay with a credit card for int'l orders (it's even an american card). i dont wanna deal with the hassles of a bank wire transfer, so im just gonna send it to my parents, and then have them mail it to me. it's ridiculous.
