    Sager NP9170 / Clevo P170EM
    - Display: 17.3" FHD 16:9 "Glare Type" Super Clear Ultra Bright LED Glossy Screen (1920x1080) (SKU - S1R506)
    - Graphics Video Card: AMD Radeon HD 7970M (2048MB) GDDR5 DX11 [User Upgradeable] (ETA: Late May) (SKU - S3R155)
    - Memory Card Reader: Internal 9-in-1 Card Reader (MMC/RSMMC/SD/Mini SD/SDHC/SDXC/MS/MS Pro/MS Duo)
    - Operating System: No Operating System Standard - Drivers & Utility Software Only
    - Optical Drive Bay: Combo Dual Layer SuperMulti DVDRW/CDRW Drive w/ Software (When selecting a Hard Drive in the Optical Bay, No Optical Drive is Included) (SKU - S7R455)
    - Primary Hard Drive: 750gb 7200rpm (Serial-ATA II 300 - 16MB Cache) (SKU - S5R306)
    - Processor: Sager - 3rd Generation Intel® Ivy Bridge Core™ i7-3720QM (2.6GHz - 3.6GHz, 6MB Intel® Smart Cache, 45W Max TDP) (SKU - S2R202)

    - Thermal Compound: - IC Diamond Thermal Compound - CPU + GPU
    - Wireless Network: Sager - Bigfoot Networks Killer™ Wireless-N 1103 (3x3) (SKU - S8R056)

Went with the 8gb 1333mhz ram as I already have another 8gb of ram waiting to transfer into it for 16 gb and didn't see a point of having to different speeds as it seems it would just cause the 1600mhz to downclock anyways. Also sitting on a 240gb intel 520 ssd just waiting to install in it as well as a copy of Windows 7 that I'll be switching over as the pc it is installed on is dead. Any thoughts?

Looks like you should be good if you've already got a copy of Windows laying around. Just make sure you find a way to test the RAM/SSD you plan to add (if they're brand new) before you get the machine as your retailer may have a limited return/exchange period that might be passed waiting for the 7970 to be available.

Otherwise, that's a solid configuration and better than a lot of gaming desktops in terms of power :)

Thanks, the ram is about half a year old. Threw it into my gateway fx so it still works pretty well. And yea I thought about that with the SSD as i had just ordered it from Newegg and decided to cancel the order so I didn't just have it laying around for a month. Will just order it when it gets close to the time the laptop will send. Newegg were actually pretty cool with cancelling it and refunding it (guess it didnt leave the warehouse yet so no harm).

This looks as if it should be around $1600, and it's from Xotic PC.

$1700 actually with discounts. Mainly the i-3710 up'ed the price a bit with the amd card which from most resellers is 360 bucks alone (combined). Throw in the bigfoot and ic diamond and the 750g upgrade adds a lil more. With the $300 intel 520 240g ssd i'm picking up 2k.
