Take an OS to simply all the sutff exept if you want to save $100 which I did, then wasted a whole evening trying to solve failed updates because it was missing the SP1, which I had to download with my stupid school internet, which timed out 3 times when the 700MB download was at 50%. Now I'll reinstall the whole thing this week-end. If you have no OS, install it, install all the drivers that took my at least half an hour, makes your updates, defrag and clean, install your favorites apps, defrag and you're ready to go.

Mine took 9 business day to ship, others reports 3 business days.

And others are at business day 13 without it having shipped, so ymmv. I assume there's/ there was a big labor day rush to get these after the initial reviews looked good.

I also ordered after a long wait, and then I had to cancel because they didn't have a GT anymore (they offered GTS for the same price as a GT  ) So now I gotta wait on my money and then order somewhere else. :(

Sorry, I have the bad habit of making big sentences in French. I'm not 100% bilingual so its normal if you don't understand . After reading what I said...eh...yeah, maybe I made some mistakes cuz I forgot few words :p and few sentences :p. I just want to say: with OS = no problem, you unbox it and you can play. Without OS = In theory, installation should be fine. Without OS + Vista w/o SP1 + crappy school internet = FAIL

No problem... I do the same thing when I speak in German or Spanish. It makes more sense now that it is not your native language... more power to ya that you can speak technically in your second language.

    WHAT?

(Yesterday went to see Spamalot, the musical from Monthy Pytons, and there's a part with French that is simply HILARIOUS...)

Some of the m860tu resellers offer widows xp as an OS option, but i've heard that most laptop manufacturers dont offer xp bc of driver issues. So if i wanted xp on the m860tu would i fall prey to similar complications or is this laptop made to be able to run xp? also if you have turbo memory with vista, and your laptop also runs xp. When you are on xp will having the turbo memory cause problems?
