    Just ordered up NP8170 from xoticpc!

    Last night I ordered my notebook from MALIBAL and hopefully it will deliver before my 6 month deployment to Saudi Arabia. I am excited to be joining the "elite hardcore notebook" owners crowd and have already purchased a slew of PC games (see bottom) that I will be taking with me. I need something to do as I don't think I will be doing anything but sleeping, working, eating, working-out, and playing video games.

    First of all, yes, XoticPC will pricematch, just call them up (they have a military discount as well, assuming that's what you mean by deployment). Also, if you talk to XoticPC, they can try to find a way to rush it to you so that you know it'll make it in time.

    Ok, so XoticPC.com was able to pricematch pro-star.com but not able to offer me the bluray player. I seem to not be high on their priorities as emails are taking 2-3 hours per reply. Kinda frustrating as I have money in hand but I can't get an updated price quote to put the money towards.

    Update: 20 mins later. Got a hold of a sales guy and he is trying to get the bluray player thrown in for free. So that's good. At least I can get a hold of them via phone. :)

    Call them, they answer very quickly. Or, their live chat feature is very good (they have to respond to people actively conversing with them first).

    Hi, whenever you price match - you have to look closely at all the parts. For instance, some companies offer a 4X Blu-Ray drive, while others only offer a 6X - so the company selling only the 6X might not be able to price match the price of the 4X Blu-ray drive... since the 4X cost significantly less than the 6X. With that said, we can price match the 4X. :)

    How do you get a blue ray thrown in for free? Is it a military discount?

    I still have a stringful (spell wrong) of questions to ask considering this is my most expensive purchase to date so I hope to be able to talk to you soon.
