Just picked one up with these specs. I upgraded the hard drive to a basic SSD but everything els is pretty stock. Wondering if I should have done that coloer calibration for $50. Is there another way to do that? Anyway let me know what you guys think of this setup.

You can use the windows calibration for a general fix but the Professional calibration is done by a machine rather than relying on your eyes for the color adjustment. On a stock 60% gamut monitor it's not going to make as big of a difference as it would on a higher gamut screen. I would say you're fine without it unless you're going to be doing any graphic design work with the system.

Are you planning to add an HDD in caddy into the optical bay later because 60GB is a tiny amount of memory? You could get an SSD separately cheaper, and maybe have one of a more reasonable size.

You can purchase a spyder calibrator to ensure color accuracy. $50-80 on eBay for spyder 2 pro. The latest release is spyder 4 and it runs over $300 for elite model.
