Have you played with the offset voltage at all?
-
Seems the firestrike score is a bit lower than expected. I have a similar system and the results are here (first one was stcock and the second one OCed):
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980M video card benchmark result - Intel Core i7-4810MQ Processor,Notebook P17SM-A
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980M video card benchmark result - Intel Core i7-4810MQ Processor,Notebook P17SM-A
From what I saw, Asus 980m has better performance than MSI and Clevo's version. -
do they have a pimped turbo boost or smth?
-
what i did notice big was a lot of the high benchmark scores for the i7-4810mq play with the dynmaic cpu voltage, saw some at -70, but when i load template i crash instantly.
i read maybe oc ram furthur?
-
Here's my stable oc at 4.0GHz with a score of 757. Made the top 10 for our processors!
now to just play around.
if anyone got tips or anything keep me posted!
maybe move sliders to 42, 41?
is it really worth it?
processor cache ratio to 39 or 40?
template i made

The XTU benchmark is tricky. Seems that it does not correlate with the stable oc frequency linearly. When I push my laptop hard, I got 885. If I only do mild oc ~3.8GHz it's ~820. I don't know if it has to with the ram used. I use kingston hyper x

gonna keep the temps down with this bad boy

Let us know how you get on with it, will be interesting to see how much it impacts it, usually the P150 series does not change too much with a cooler but that is 6 fans.
-
If it works I'll definitely be looking at one. The fan ramping is probably my biggest problem with the laptop.
-
temps dropped a solid 5 degrees with max fans off.
turned out they sent me the wrong one rated at 2200rpm when i bought the listing at 2800rpm.
will ask for partial refund.
and will add 4-5 smaller fans inside at 5800rpm.
so far it's pretty good.
also bought a msata samsung 840 evo 250gb and selling the 850 pro 128gb to a buddy maybe -
did this for fun, so hard to get a solid 7.9 haha
-
Did Fire Strike test again on Steam with OC
Just purchased my (Clevo P150SM-A)
