Just received a Sager NP8177 (Clevo P670HS-G) from XoticPC - can't multibox without crashing?

Hi, I regularly multibox multiple copies of Final Fantasy XIV on my older Sager laptop, so I was dismayed when my new Sager arrived, with equal or better specs than my last, and it can't seem to handle it. The laptop has frozen with stuttering audio until I turn it off multiple times when attempting to multibox even though the ram, cpu, gpu etc should be more than sufficient to handle it. It hasn't crashed yet when just running one game at a time -- but being able to multibox is the whole reason I got such a strong system.

Does anyone know if there is some kind of weakness with the P670HS-G that would cause it not to be able to handle a demanding load due to overheating or power issues or something, despite having the hardware beef to do it in other respects? Or do I have a faulty part?

I did pay for a repaste from XoticPC, so I had hoped that overheating wouldn't be an issue. It does seem to be running a little hot with multiple game windows open but not more than 75C.

Thanks for any advice you can give me!

Edit -- I am also wondering how this will shake out as far as support goes with XoticPC. This is my first time ordering from them, and since the computer is stable until I try to run multiple copies of a game, will I qualify for support/return? I emailed them yesterday but haven't heard back yet.

It does in my opinion have a heating issue but to ease your concern I found Xotic support very good though it does blow that there closed on the weekend with the exception of sales on Saturday, Just make sure to shoot them a e-mail on Monday or call them then.

It sounds like something might be going on, what was your last system?

Looking over even the base specs of your system there should be no logical reason you can't multibox without issue. You might need to give more info though. When you run more than one instance of the game how long before it starts having issues? If you run only two instances does it take more time to freeze or about the same as more than two instances? Did you change the graphics settings for the game recently? Like Meaker asked, what was your old system and it's specs?
