    Hey guys,

I just received my M860TU, and I need some help getting started as this is my first notebook.

What do I need to do to check that my NB is running fine? Is there a guide anywhere that I can refer to?

Was thinking of checking for dead pixels as well. But not sure how can I do that.

My NB also did not come with any partitions, can I create one without re-installing the OS?

What are other tests or checks that I can do to make sure that there's nothing wrong with my NB and that it's performing as it should do?

    Thanks a lot! :)

download and run 3dmark06. if your score's anywhere between 9000 and 10,000, your notebook should be running just fine.

Dead pixel buddy for checking on dead pixels, note that it's not an automatic test. It only shows different colors and you need to check your monitor yourself.

Hardware monitor to check on your tempertures, put your notebook under stress for a while (30mins to 1h) and then check if a component reaches any dangerous heat lvls, if you're not sure what is high and what is low then just take a screenshot and post it here.

    Hi nick.
ive just sent you a pm with a link with everything you will need for free.

even though you cant see it you will have a hidden partition on your hard drive which has a back up of you computer.
funnily enough i was at kobalt yesterday getting a partition added.
there are quite a few software programs ut there that you can use but i have no idea how good they are.

good luck and enjoy your beast.
