My left control key of my NP2090 is gradually becoming less and less responsive. I'm having to press down harder and harder for it to register.

Can one safely remove/pop back in keys from the 2090's keyboard?

It's most likely not the actual key but the connector. The key is just a piece of plastic, so it has nothing on it that would fail. So replacing just the plastic key won't do anything for your problem.

You're prolly looking at an entire keyboard swap.

I'm not thinking of a new key. I'd take it out to clean the socket.

contact your vendor, and they will cross-ship you a new keyboard, without having you send in your entire system.

I just popped the key out without incident and went at the connector with compressed air. Put the key back on and after pressing down fairly hard to pop it full back into place, it seems to be a bit better than before. The key's still not as responsive as it should be, but better nonetheless.

If it keeps acting up, I'll give XoticPC a call. Thanks for the insight, guys.
