    Hey all,

I just recently have had a problem with my backlit keyboard on the P370sm3. After I update my BIOS my backlit stopped working, not turning ON. I have windows 8 64bit, and Ive tried the latest drivers hotkey 8.0134 & 8.0135. I also tried to repair the .net framework 4.5. Nothing has helped, perhaps you guys could help me, since I believe it could be an issue in windows and not BIOS.

    thanks!

On my P170 the keyboard lights up even without the hotkey program. Did you check the bios settings, maybe they added the keyboard lights to the bios settings. Are you sure you loaded the right bios? Did anything else change? Maybe loose cable?

Hmm... the thing is after the BIOS update I selected "load optimized defaults", and I remember now that after that the backlit kind of stopped working, so perhaps some settings in BIOS changed. But I'm not sure which ones. Which one is for keyboard and LED if there is any? I checked it and could not really find one.

It is not listed in my bios. Does the keyboard light up while in the bios? Is it possible you loaded an older bios? You could try flashing back to the orginal bios to see if that works.

I actually updated the bios from one of Premas mods, and no it doesn't light up while in BIOS :(

Where can I get the original bios? and would there be any problem to revert from a newer version to an original version?

Btw, how do I know the LEDs are not broken? I read somewhere flashing BIOS could cause hardware issues, but I want to exclude that, really don't know how.
