I just got my N850HP6 in the mail and I like it quite a bit so far. However, I'm a little confused about how to deal with the keyboard LEDs. I know you can open the control panel with FN+NUM/ but my settings don't stick after I close the window, just when the window is open. Also, is there a keyboard shortcut for turning the LEDs off?

Congratulations on your new beast. After you change the LED setting to your desired color, are you hitting 'Save' on the bottom/right of the control panel? If so, does 'SAVE DONE' briefly appear and then disappear when you save?

I am not sure about your second question.

Ah, a couple of reboots mysteriously fixed the problem. I guess it had something to do with the control panel. Thank you though!

Still looking for info on a keyboard shortcut for turning the LEDs off, but it's ok if there isn't one since the panel saves when I close it out now.

In FlexiKey panel, there should be "Save" button in the bottom right corner. Shortcuts (all Fn + NumPad):
    Fn + / = FlexiKey Panel
    Fn + * = On/Off
    Fn + - = brigthness down
    Fn + + = brightness up
    Fn + 7 / 8 / 9 = zone on/off left/mid/right
