Yeah yeah I know WoW is dumb, but I play it. Im almost ready to make a purchase on a sager laptop but the issue thats holding me back is the keyboard ghosting. I press ALOT of keys while playing and this has me very worried, and no an external keyboard will not solve this for me as I do alot of on the go gaming and dont want to lug my black widow ultimate around with me.

I know some resellers offer aftermarket keyboards, hopefully someone with one can chime in. I know the stock one isn't the greatest.

Yeah I have read that but its a chicklet making it a PITA for just about everything. The non chicklet is one of the reasons why I am looking to sager and why I thought of it as a beacon of light in a sea of chicklets. Finding out about the ghosting is depressing and leaves me with no other options.

Any chicklet haters get the steel series in their sager and actually like it?

You may want an external keyboard at home for when you intend to do something that avoids ghosting as most notebooks will do it.

I use a Logitech G13. It is small enough you could travel with it. I have gamed with the internal keyboard, but am not a big fan of it. With the G13 the feel is better, and I can position the display and my left arm differently. The G13 is a must have for me.

I primarily use the internal keyboard on my laptops which is why Im concerned. I do have a razer black widow at work but Im not carrying it around so I can game or type fast.

I am a laptop keyboard fan Id rather not take an external with me. I feel as though a gaming laptop should have a solid keyboard built in that can at least game. Doesnt have to be a classic thinkpad or dell business legendary keyboard, but just something that can get the job done.

Btw, the Logitech G13 is not a "keyboard". It is more like a gaming pad with keyboard keys on it. It is smaller since it only has some keys on it. The keys are laid out differently, so it is easier for one hand to reach them. It is customizable, every key can be changed, and you can set up macros on the fly. I have heard many WOW players like it.

You like a laptop keyboard over a good mechanical one?

When you own thinkpads/dell business/alienware yeah you get kinda hooked on laptop keyboards. Dont get me wrong my black widow ultimate is great and I have used other mechanicals that are great. They sure do take me back, but a good laptop keyboard goes everywhere and is IMHO better. Plus for gaming I like consistency so I use the same mouse and keyboard so reaching keybinds and such are set in muscle memory.
