I upgraded to Windows 8.1 only to find that my graphics card was not being used (onboard graphics were being used???). Anyways long story short i re-installed windows 8 from the cd. I've also added all the drivers from the cd.

SInce doing that, my keyboard lighting no longer works. I can get to the color selection screen (fn+/) but it doesnt actually turn on. Doing the Fn+* isn't doing anything either....

    additional info:
    Key board software version 2.0
only can select colors on RGB option, all others stay grey?

    Help?

You likely needed to re-install the graphics drivers to get 8.1 working, the onboard graphics will always drive your displays due to the optimus system.
