So I've had been losing function on my Tab and F1 keys on an off for about a couple of months now. At first I thought it was software related because somehow they only both work or both not work but now it seems it really is a hardware problem since this doesn't occur when I tested it with a USB keyboard. Lately the symptoms have become worse since they're not working most of the time now. Not counting getting a warranty replacement for it (sucks to be an international customer), what could be causing this and is there anyway for me to fix it myself?

where do you live and who and where did you buy it from.
im guessing if you are still within your one year warranty and you live outside the country you bought it from it should still be covered for replacement keyboard but you will have to pay the shipping and insurance cover one way or both depending who your supplier was. -

You could also take a look at the list of Clevo resellers and see if they'd be able to help you out on a replacement keyboard and install it yourself, saves you that international shipping.

A keyboard replacement may fix it, but if the controller is bad, then a USB keyboard is really your most budget friendly option. I encountered this on a HP G series laptop. Replaced the keyboard and the same keys would work or not work intermittently still (turns out he spilled liquid some time before, which would have alluded to the failing controller). Keep that in mind, and good luck!
