Hey guys,
I'm experiencing a very interesting problem with my Bigfoot Killer 1002 Network card.
As I tested the newly released driver (6.0.1.395) and encountered bugs like the WLAN was not switchable after bootup, I decided to remove the driver and install an older stable one.
So I went to the Device Manager, right-clicked on the WLAN card and hit "Deinstall" with "Delete drivers too" ticked.
Good the WLAN driver is gone, but I can't install the older one because it keeps telling me "There is a newer version of Qualcomm Atheros Killer Manager installed".
Now my problem is to uninstall this Qualcomm Manager, but it's not in the list of installed Programs in the Windows Software section. In C:\Programs is a folder called "Bigfoot Networks" and one called "Qualcomm Atheros".
The Qualcomm Atheros folder is almost empty, there is only a subfolder "help" containing some .jpg's of the tray icon.
In the Bigfoot Networks folder are some .exe's to test the internet speed and start the Manager, but no .exe to remove the actual software.
Can you guys check if you have like a "setup.exe" in this Bigfoot Networks folder which allows you to deinstall the software?
I fear this setup.exe got removed as I manually deleted the driver via the Device Manager.
Thanks in advance!
Regards

Have you tried checking your Control Panel > Programs and Features to see if it is there? This is actually the proper location for uninstalling programs and drivers. After doing that, the Bigfoot Killer website should have some backdated drivers listed as well as the latest items. Try downloading from the Killer website again.

I have also had issues with that new killer driver. Went back to old stable one.

Anybody checked yet for the setup.exe ? -
Well I sorted out my problem.
For anyone else having a similar issue, simply go to Bigfoot's Killer Knowledge Base and download this driver cleaner tool for 64-bit Windows -
this happened to me and i discovered that when i installed it over my previous driver it somehow altered the power state of my computer in the clevo control panel that you can access by Fn ESC. somehow my computer had been set in "flight mode" which i had never set. once i switched it back to my custom profile everything was back to normal
