Fewest posts over the past few days in some time... come on you resellers and Sager/Clevo insiders.... stir the pot up a bit
-
-
???????????????? i could do some stiring if you want............not quite sure what you are after though.
-
I'm pretty sure this is what the OP wants.
-
You could try and help me with my flickering screen during 3dmark and crysis after a SLI install.
-
Maybe change drivers
Maybe you have it in split frame ( thats happened to once with my old m9750)
Maybe cards are getting to hot
Thats all I can think about -
I'm waiting in the dark corners of the forum section, waiting to reply until I actually hit the "Checkout" button and stop being such a panzy!
Plus I'm looking for news on the upcoming models from Sager.
I have to say, the bunch here at notebookreview.com have one of the best tech communities on the net, I love these forums. -
1. the most active forums are the ones with the most complaints. (see dell)
2. Kind of in between key models right now industry wide. I think everyone is waiting for the next big "innovation" to come along. -
I'm busy playing with my new 8800 ;P

yep I think we are all playing games, and occasionally going to the alienware forums to gloat about actually having a notebook.
(sorry couldnt resist)
of course we could ask the manufacturers to send out some faulty gear for once ! -
Maybe if one of us could test drive the M860TU then a stir may be caused on these forums
-
I will. Just wait until I get my sleeping pills.

erm I am getting occasional jerkiness on crysis, running at 1440x1040 or something like that.....
2x AA cos I gotta smooth, things out and textures on medium
the game runs fast at that, but I get the occasional pause,
maybe I need to defrag the old hdd. see. thats what RAID 0 is good for -
BOFH1971, if you're running with AA that's gonna cause some issues. I know in my desktop rig I can't use AA at all for smooth frame rates running 1920x1200 with an 8800GT, Q6600 @2.6, and 2 gigs ram. AA in my card, and if it's anything like the 8800m in the 5793, will have some issues. I think it has more to do with Crysis being a hog than it does your hardware. I don't have other issues with other games either.
BTW, how does it look not running in your native resolution? Is your screen a bit blurry, distorted compared to when you run it in your native res?? Did you go with the 1920x1200 resolution? I'm leaning towards the lower native resolution so that I won't have to push for a higher resolution in games and be able to squeeze more eye candy. -
to busy playing on my non problematic NP5793 to care at the forums from time to time.
"So that's how crysis works on a working laptop thats coooool" -
Besides being unable to change drivers, just modded the stock ones to include the missing resolutions, im quite busy enjoying my lappy
Just sitting and wating on a Bios update from my reseller, so I can try out some newer drivers -
Oops! My bad, I thought he was looking for this: Recipe for Cannabis Butter
:confused2: -
I could write a bad review about somebody, but I didn't buy anything anymore... :twitcy: :twitcy:

well dozerking, the game looks amazing at lower resolutions too
blurring isnt apparent,
I can run at 1920x1200 without aa, and its nice but the frames drop a bit too much
I think there is an inbetweeny resolution missing from the options, thats kind of optimal, so I will be looking into that
the jerkiness is more like it runs for 10-20 seconds and then its like a pause/ or glitch in the matrix?
anyway its not ruining the game or anything, but I am a stickler for things running really smooth
the higher res screen is definitely worth it , for all the other games,
accuracy when sniping in TF2 went through the roof for me! -
Probably most users are having Reconstructive Eye Surgery after testing the new M570TU and trying to read this forum on it.
The 15.4" WUXGA display has been known to even represent sub-atomic particles accurately, which have been leaked to be in the sequel to Crysis, for added realism.
The great thing now is also that if the panel ships with dead pixels, they'll be so small you can't see them without an electron-microscope. -
I`m using WUXGA on my 17inch , but I have the DPI increased to 131%, otherwise I`d go blind.
Then again, I use a cordless keyboard and the laptop is at 4 feet away from me. -
Go blind you say ? I see it as eyesight training
Im using WUXGA (1920*1200) without increasing DPI, also using it sitting around 1½-2 meters away -
So what glasses are you using?
-
Bo@LynboTech Company Representative
Binoculars you mean!
yep 1920x1200 is fine, takes a bit of getting used to, after a couple of days you feel like you are using a 22" screen! -
Thats even without using contact lenses, got +0.5 on my right (thats just not really needed) and +3.25 on my left
Got somewhat of a falcon sight on my right eye, my left tho, is another case, as ive got a astigmatism on that eye
Indeed I just love 1920*1200, tho it's really unhandy, when you get to another comp, that has a 19" and 1280*1024, jees thats some huge letters -
WhachYouTalkinAboutWillis? I haven't been on the forum because I'm beens so busy-giddy with my new D901C. I've been installing, pimping, getting VMware instances working, installing Ubuntu (getting nVidia drivers installed, ripping CDs, developing, more pimping by installing lots of packages, etc).

@arenji
I seem to get between 9300 and 9400 3dmarks on the drivers that came with the machine
(there were 2 or 3 on the disc so I chose the newest one .44 or something)
I am not home right now but will check
I am running xp pro btw! -
ok, thanks for letting me know, just wanted to see if my scores were about right, and it seems like they are, but im running vista 64 bit.
-
I'm a bit worried to 1900x1200... I used to 1280x1024 for quite a long time... Preparing the shock on this Tuesday, let's just hope that there's no delay on shipping
And OT
Arenji, what version do you use for your 8800 GTX? I'm running Vista 64 too.. -
WUXGA is best for 20inch laptops, but it looks sharp on a 17inch .I personally would never change it.
