Yo all NBF'ers.
I'm writing this as I finally recieved my Comanche yesterday. However, I'm having MAJOR problems with drivers and especially enabling SLI (dual 9800m GTXs:
First of all, I'm unable to install the official nVidia drivers. I've tried downloading the driver two times and installing it over five times. It begins installing, but then the screen turns black and remains that way. I can only force-shutdown (holding down power button) and start it up again. When Windows (it's .Vista Ultimate 64-bit by the way), the new driver is installed, but the installation doesn't seem to be sucessful. The only way to avoid the black screen is to disable the secound graphic card in "Control Panel/Device Manager". I also tried installing a driver from that laptops4go (or whatever) site, it installed without the black screen. But nomatter what I do, be it official or unofficial drivers or disabling secound graphics card during installation, I still get the same problem: Enabling SLI.
When I go into the nVidia configuration in the Control Panel, I have no problem. The problem comes when I have to enable SLI. The option is there, asking me whether I want to enable or disable, and what screen I want it to render on. I can choose between "Apple" and "Skærm" (screen in Danish). I'm on the same wireless internet conenction as my mothers Mac (Apple), so I'm suspecting that's the "Apple" screen.
Whenever I enable the SLI to the "Apple option", I restart and GPU tells me that SLI is enabled. However, games are running much worse than when I'm running on a single card with SLI disabled! Even World of Warcraft lags!
When I choose the "Skærm" option, it restarts and the screen simply stays black (like with the nVidia installation). Only way to continue using the computer is to force-shutdown, start in safe-mode, delete the driver from "Programs and Features" or disable the secound graphics card from "Device Manager" and then starting all over again.
I've tried doing this serveal times, doing everything I could think of: Unstalling the previous drivers, installing new ones, restarting serveal times, but it still won't work! Only thing I haven't tried is rebooting (Kobalt had already installed the OS when I recieved it), will I really have to reboot a computer I recieved one day ago?
PLEASE, someone help me. I've spent over 1000 dollars on the extra graphics card, so it really pains me to see it not working. I've searched everywhere on the internet for someone with the same problem, but have been unable to find anything. Could it be a hardware problem with the graphics card(s)?
Thanks in advance, all advise is greatly appreciated.

Problem solved, admin can close/delete the thread.

you are trying to install mobile graphics drivers, right? as opposed to the desktop drivers usually available on nvidia's homepage...

Yeah, I installed the mobile GeForce Vista 64 bit one, it's for notebooks.
EDIT: Nevermind, I figured it out. The trick was that I had to uinstall everything, install the driver from my D900 cd, enable SLI on Apple (seems it wasn't linked to other computer, god knows why it's called that then) and THEN install the nVidia driver. It's working amazingly now (getting a very good FPS at 1920x1200 in Crysis Warhead)!
