This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    That's the tax you pay when you live in Europe ;)
    Bahrain however... I only have to pay 7.5% and I have already confirmed that...
    It's still fine it's pretty much a tax free country like most of the GCC (middle east countries)... no income tax :p Wish I was in UAE or Kuwait, no import tax I think.. :D :eek:

    lol It will still cost you customs then, I guess :p You are charged for RECEIVING electronic devices by your country... no matter where it ships from.. ;)

    Not if you label it as 'gift'. Caus if grandma sends you a notebook for Christmas, you shouldn't have to pay import taxes, now would you ? ;)

    Usually people call that VAT (Value Added Tax). There are no import duties in the EU as far as I know of.
