Wow what a price tag lol, if i didn't have a house to furnish this would be mine hehe. One question though being a since its got a desktop i7 shouldn't the standard ram configuration be triple channel since Kobalt have it with dual channel ram and triple being a £104 upgrade seems a bit of a rip off their..

We had our old Comanche (D900F) with 3GB (3x 1GB DIMMs) as the base specification and everyone either upgraded to 6GB or asked for 4GB so we though it would be better to start the G970X off with 4GB as it seems to be the lowest usable size that people want these days. We're not trying to con anyone :p

    The price of the upgrade to 6GB RAM isn't £104, it's £44 :)

Nice and price seems comparable to the D900F when the same configuration is chosen. I will definitely the x7200 get one when more 32nm processors will become available.

Thats better was £104 earlier lol, just seems daft to offer 4gb when the system is designed to run in triple channel mode, can see your point though nobody really wants 3gb.

With the other laptops @the kobalt store you get the option to pick a european adapter for +5 pounds I think), while this "laptop" does not have that feature. Does that mean its a universal adapter that can be used both in the UK as in Europe?

Also, this g970x has the option to be delivered with a zalman notebookcooler, but this is no option with the other laptops, why is this?

The power adaptor is usable everywhere in the world. If you are refereing to the plug you put in the wall you can get it form any normal store with home electronics. If you are not from UK they will proably send you the europen plug. They did that for me, when I bought th3 D901C

    well spotted.
when they updated the page to the new computer they might have left the cooler in instead of changing it to the mains adaptor.
ill check with kobalt for you.

    edit:
since an update to the page the plug option was lost. they will update it tomorrow.
    thanks for pointing it out.
alternately if anyone has already ordered they can leave a message on the order status page on their website requesting a euro plug.
