Kobalt GS510

Hi everybody,

I just ordered the GS510 from Kobalt which is built on the Clevo B5100M just like the Sager NP5125. I was wondering whether anyone bought that same laptop and can may be share a mini review? I am patiently waiting for the laptop to be shipped and I would love to read some first impressions from you guys in the meantime.

I am a bit surprised I can't find anyone talking about this laptop on the forum so please if you have it speak up

as its a newish laptop thats why you cant find many reviews at the moment.
they should start appearing over the next few weeks as people start receiving them.

Release date was about 3 to 4 weeks ago and delivery takes about 2 weeks so I figured the first ones to order got their unit already! But may be they won't notice this thread if they're too busy playing with their new toy lol.

Actually I have already been reading this thread for quite a while but it deals with the Sager and not the Kobalt one. Although they're based on the same barebone ( Clevo B5100M ), they might end up to be a bit different since Sager and Kobalt might not use the same components ( hard drive, ram, thermal paste, webcam, ... ). Please correct me if I'm wrong.

 

Well, you are kind of wrong, unless you are looking for the exact configuration you order, but at least it can give a place to start.

 

also from past experience with older laptops there are hundreds if not thousands that dont even post on forums so that is also why it can take longer to see multiple reviews from owners.

 

Ok, so I guess I can just follow the NP5125 thread from now on and shouldn't expect a GS510 owner's lounge.

 

The owners lounge is for any owners of the B5100M, whoever it is rebranded by (most of the lounges are marked as such, but apparently not that one...)
