Kobalt's homepage promises their Pro notebooks are coming soon. I understand these will have the FX 3800M, therefore I'm strongly interested. (NB: I'm aware of their Commanche that already has this GPU, as well.)

    1. Does anyone know when this 'coming soon' is to be expected?

    2. Will their Pro notebook be the equivalent of Eurocom's D900F Panther (i.e. Xeon, 24GB & 4xHDD capabilities)?

Many thanks in advance (and sorry if this's been already asked).

Eurocom Panther is just a D900F with 3 HDD and 1 video card. The Kobalt Comanche is identical to Panther.

    Hi

Most of the info regarding Panther vs Comanche has already been covered above!

Max RAM is 12GB on the D900F because there aren't 6GB SODIMM modules available. We actually have the FX2800 and FX3800 listed as options on existing laptops - the FX3800 is an option on the Comanche.

The pro notebooks will be based on the same chassis as the existing models we offer and of course new ones when they are released :) They will be geared more towards the workstation/pro user rather than gamers so won't be fundamentally different to what we already offer. There will be more options for compatible hardware/peripherals for pro users though.
