hello , I have a laptop p377sm with sli 970 m, it was working fine, then install EVGA Precision and drover 359.00 and then reboot and now I have black screen, but if you connect a second monitor via HDMI and you can see everything well, I can do, since I have not much knowledge of this, I recommend buying another similar screen lcd?

This is later to installa nvidia 359.00 driver and egva precision 16.

    Thanks

Yup your screen is dead... Don't use new NVIDIA drivers, and Precision X unless you want bricked LCD...

is it still under warranty? if so contact the vendor you bought from and they will replace it, even though Nvidia should have to repay all these vendors that they are ruining LCD displays of....makes me so mad they can get away with stuff like this just because they are a big corporation...good luck I have the same laptop with 980m sli and I had the same exact problem luckily XoticPC was super fast at replacing the display and getting it back to me...

Honestly it's pretty horrifying thinking about how my screen can be soft-bricked if I ever install EVGA Precision. This is why I like NVIDIA Inspector and MSI Afterburner, I've used both with no issues although currently I am not using either one of those.

If you're willing to, you can fix this yourself with help from Prema.

I believe in the other thread dedicated to this issue, aarpcard said he was able to fix it in linux. I'm curious to see what else might be done that could fix this, if someone else has some steps.

You don't need to do anything hardware-wise afaik, I'm pretty sure there's just a special Linux ISO that you burn and boot from, run a script or two and you're good to go.
