    Hi Folks,

Was thinking of doing a repaste in a few months to this baby and was thinking going the LM route. Was wondering if anyone has done one for this laptop and what things should I consider before going ahead.

This is my 1st LM attempt however, I've done repastes for laptops and desktops many times with normal thermal grease.

What I'm concerned about is that the laptop travels with me once or twice a month a 3hours bumpy bus/train ride. Would this able to cause spillage of the application (laptop would laying flat though during the travel period)?

    Regards,
    Asanka

There are a few guides of people using foam/tape/nail varnish to seal around the cores. If you are moving it a lot this would be a good idea.

Just for interests sake, what's your take on the upper efficacy limit of a good sealing?
Would a laptop with a well done LM sealing job be okay to throw it in a backpack and bike across the city on a daily commute?

(Or is that the "only once if you're being chased by zombies" scenario?)
(Or, maybe "you better only bike to the end of the street, get out the kid gloves, and hope they're slow"...)

I don't seal mine and I throw it in my bag and take it away because I ensure I got the perfect contact and use the perfect amount, sealing is there to cover the mistakes that most users will make. If you do that well at least it should be safe to take around like normal.
