Lagging mostly in games, every 5-10 minutes, I'm almost positive it has to do with overheating, probably from the 9800M GTX. I got this unit in October... anyone else experienced their GPU (or CPU) going south from overheating after less then a year? I was under the impression Sager's were good coolers... truth is I forget to give my laptop a break sometimes :)

Try HWMonitorto check out the temps!

and Check to see if the heatsink is clogged with dust or not(shine a torch through the vent)

remove base plate and clean fans out with compressed air. this is recommended every 6 months as it contributes to the heat issues.

Yup, my GPU is running hot! Idles at 57, games on medium settings pushes it to 80, high to 95. CPU is doing a little better, doesn't go past 60...
    All Celsius by the way.

The I guess my question is: not doing so would damage my GPU in the long run? Kind of like it's too late now...

its never too late to start. it might not be the overall problem but it could help towards it.

Just removed the bottom board and sprayed a good dose of air... not much dust though. Should I clean the top of the parts as well? I can't figure out how to access them... is the keyboard removable?

Thanks, the manual didn't help though...
These are my readings from HWMonitor:

    ACPI hardware monitor
    Temperature sensor 0 48°C (118°F) [0xC8A] (THM0)

Intel Mobile Core 2 Duo P9500 hardware monitor
    Temperature sensor 0 38°C (100°F) [0x3E] (Core #0)
    Temperature sensor 1 41°C (105°F) [0x3B] (Core #1)

    GeForce 9800M GTX hardware monitor
    Temperature sensor 0 45°C (113°F) [0x2D] (GPU Core)

    ST9200420AS hardware monitor
    Temperature sensor 0 48°C (118°F) [0x30] (HDD)

These are idle readings, not even running the AV program. Are these temps ok?
