Hey guys i just got my sager2090/compalifl90 and it tends to run a little hotter than my expectations when playing games. This is why i need a laptop cooler for it but not something as expensive as 50 dollars more like in the 20s would be nice or less. The laptop cooler should have good grips so my laptop doesnt fly away and shouldnt scratch my laptop as i know some with sharp edges can do.

The heat vent is on the back left corner of the laptop and i would get the spire pacific breeze but i also have a 9 cell battery jutting out of the back of my laptop.

    The dimensions of my laptop are : 14" x 10.1" x 1.4~1.5"

Here is an image of my laptop:

As you can see there are various vents randomly placed on the bottom of my notebook but the main vent is in the back next to the battery.

Thanks guys :) A lot of other people i know would be looking for this information as well.

Before you invest money into a cooler, I'd recommend you try undervolting your processor and just simply propping the laptop up using bottlecaps, or anything else of a similiar, uniform shape. Works great for my Compal HEL80! ;)

Otherwise, I know the iXoft Thermaltake works very well and is made of cloth so it wouldn't scratch anything. It's also fanless. I've heard that the Vantec line of coolers work fairly well too.

The best is the Zalman ZM-NC1000

It will cool the ENTIRE bottom of the notebook... while conventional coolers have static fan locations (which only cools those particular spots only).

50 dollars for something that can save you from spending another thousand or so dollars on another laptop.

anyways lapcool 2 is a good cheap alternative. Or use bottlecaps to lift up the laptop if you are really on a tight...tight...tight...budget.

well i would happily pay the 50 dollars it just that my dad wont :D. Hes already on the im not made out of money tone after buying the laptop. And we have to get a lock, sleeve, backpack, mouse, and this cooler :/ The lapcool 2 does seem pretty good just hate the blue color. What about the targus chilpad for 20 bucks or this xion 20 dollar chillpad i have seen on newegg.

also this vantec chillpad is too small for the 2090 isnt it? Or is that ok. im having problems finding chillpads that fit the 2090

the lapcool 2 comes in a blue version and a black version...but the black version is 10 or so dollars more expensive, I'm not sure what the difference in features are, if any.
