    For Media Player:
    - Media Player Classic (I like this one the best)
    - VLC Player

For Video Codecs: (for your media players)
    - K-Lite Codec Pack (even comes with Media Player Classic)
    - Real Alternative (Real player's codec only, so you can play Real media on any media player w/o having to install their lame software).
    - QuickTime Alternative (Quicktime's codec only, so you can play Quicktime media on any media player w/o having to install their lame software).

    For Defragmenting:
    (for XP)
    - Diskeeper (free and works great)
    (for .Vista)
    - Contig
    - PowerDefragmenter
    - Auslogics Disk Defrag
