I'm not sure if this is a Clevo specific thing (or even a hardware thing), but I have a Clevo W150HNQ. Sometimes, when I tell my computer to sleep, the screen goes black, but all the LEDs are still lit, and the fans still run. It never goes completely off, and I'm unable to reactivate it. I have to reset it completely by holding down the power button.

It seems to happen randomly. I'm on Windows 7. It's a huge problem, because just today it happened without me realizing, and I put it in my bag. The fans kept pumping out hot air, and when I took my laptop out an hour later, it was blazing hot, and the screen was discolored! I turned it off and let it cool down, and thankfully the screen color went back to normal.

    Has anyone encountered anything similar?

Are you all caught up on Windows updates, do you have a SSD in there, you could try checking for firmware updates for that too.

Sleep issues are common. Basically it comes down to a driver or software that won't let it sleep. Try closing different software, or all software, to see if software is causing it. Be sure to check task manager as well. That is the easy part. The next part is checking hardware drivers. This means disabling things in device manager to try to narrow it down.

Look for clues though. Does it only happening when your sound card is active, only on wifi, only with something on usb, etc.

Yes check the running services in task manager. Typically it's a background service that causes the system to not sleep. Occasionally it's an issue with ACPI.
