Would you suggest buying from directly from Sager or from a company like Xoticpc?

Does one of them ship faster - any other advantages?

I would avoid purchasing directly from Sager. You will get old fashioned "make you feel special" customer service if you go with a trusted reseller such as the one you mentioned.

Resellers will send your order to Sager and Sager will ship it directly to your front door. It doesn't matter who you order from as it is up to the OEM to build it and ship it out, and in this case it's Sager.

Definitely go with a place like xoticpc. Their service has been absolutely amazing so far. I ordered from them on July 8 and went through the whole process with Justin on the phone. Answered all of my questions fully and I never felt pressured or that I was boring him. It took about 3 weeks to get here but most of that is my fault because my CC company denied the charges for my own protection and it took me a little while to call them and authorize the charge.

Once my laptop got here it was basically a DOA and I needed to return it to the manufacturer. This is where both Sager and XoticPC stood out. Both companies were great when I told them the problem and Sager paid for shipping both ways and only had the computer one day in their shop before they shipped it back. I was kind of concerned about Sager and their tech support so I asked Xotic to keep an eye out for it. I got several phone calls from them giving me updates and was extremely happy to see everything works perfectly. I would definitely recommend buying a Sager and especially from XoticPC.

not to mention that in many cases the reseller will be cheaper since they buy on contract from Sager and pass on the savings to you. see my sig for a brief review of the purchasing process.
