Is Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi any good? Friend of mine said just use the build in sound card since Sound Blaster isn't good at producing good music quality. If not, is the build in 3D audio bareable?

P.S. 1 more question, figure I would get a faster question here than from XoticPC. Is the fingerprint reader external or internal?

Sound card - personal preference, much better than interal soundcard imo
fingerprint reader - "Microsoft USB Fingerprint Reader", you know the answer.

Sound card is a waste imo.... my friend has one and not ony does it look stupid sticking outa the laptop ~ sound quality is that much better, i didnt notice any difference tbh. I think your better off just getting a high quality headset or something instead. 2 cents.

How good is X-Fi? I will mostly use headphone for games, don't listen to music on laptop. Does the build in 3D audio provide good 3D sound?

a sound-card would make gaming more realistic, better "hiberarchy". for games like CS:S, i can better tell how far are my enemies from me.

Headset has nothing to do with improving sound quality.

I have the XFI sound card and on the contrary it does not stick out as much as people think it does maybe a inch out of the express slot. And the sound quality is amazing. I have the Razer Piranha and there is definitely a noticeable difference between the onboard and external x-fi. The fingerprint reader is internal. It is on the trackpad, between the left and right click buttons.

The sound card is definitely worth it. People that say they don't notice a difference just aren't listening, as the quality is worlds apart.

    there could be more reasons:
1.) they have crappy output devices
2.) they have crappy audio sources
    3.) they have crappy ears
