Clevo does not make BIOS updates publically available.

Here is the latest m860tu bios:

Combined BIOS 1.01.08 and EC 1.00.08

boot into dos (using the guide in my sig) then run step1.bat, restart (into dos again) and run step2.bat IN THAT ORDER

What exactly does the BIOS fix again?
As a 64bit Vista user, will I benefit from it?

From what I've read, there's no point to update the BIOS except if you are encountering some issues and the update can fix it. That's why Clevo/Sager don't release the BIOS update on their website: so people don't brick their notebooks. If you think you need an update, you should contact your reseller

My m860tu originally had .06 bios. I sent it back to Sager to fix a keyboard issue and now I have .07 bios. I guess they decided to update my bios, but I'm still not sure why or what it fixes.

.07 fixes the 32-bit operating systems recognizing 2.5 gigs instead of a full 3 gigs.

    BIOS 1.01.08 and EC 1.00.08:
    2. Solve “system can’t identify BT device correctly when the BT cable exists” issue.
    3. When system working temperature reaches fan on point but the system can’t receive normal fan speed information, it will alarm for one minute then shut down.

    Hello all.
I'm searching a bios for M860 that can disable/enable the C4 mode for Intel processors.
Is the last bios from Clevo able to do that?
I want to do that because the C4 mode causes a kind of acute noise that annoys me.

Thanks and sorry for my bad english, I'm a French M860 owner ;)

Bad english, dude, that was one of the most to the point posts I have ever read in my life.

I don't know if a Bios for that is available yet, but keep in mind the laptop is still relatively new, so we will still have improvements coming out for it in the months to come.

In fact I'm searching a way to remove the high pitched whining that comes from the processor (p8600)
I've read that the solution was to disable the C4 mode on the processor but I can't find any way to do this.

    Can anyone help me?

    Thanks.
    Ps. thank you Deathwinger :).

This is the BIOS XoticPC sent me last week so I guess its the latest one. They didn't knew if it fixed the CPU whinning noise and I'm too lazy right now to email Sager to ask them.

How´s Eurocom for overseas shipping? Im considering buying from them a 9800m Gt and i think i need the bios update? Do they supply any of these files too? And im probably also going to change the graphic card myself too.

If you order from them now, I think its legitimate to believe that they will put the latest BIOS. They are probably going to ship it with a private carrier like Fedex or UPS. Expensive but fast and reliable.

The problem i see is that there isnt a "run once" type of execution to update the bios........
