Hi guys, i noticed a nice deal on a Lenovo FX3700m on ebay described as faulty as there was the "shielding missing". We do not need the shielding as the m570tu has its own copper cage and heatsink for the mxm he cards.

I just installed it and screen does not turn on. do i need to do any modifications? blind flash?

Any ideas or should i return it ?

    Regards to all!

Well you could try blind flashing the 8800m GTX vbios onto it (if you have one from a sager card). Or even a 9800m GT vbios.

Try blind dumping the vbios from the 3700m, if you can't blind dump the vbios then I think the card is completely dead.

I don't have an M570tu, but if it lets you get past POST and boot from a USB, then maybe you could just have an autoexec file with the nvflash commands in it ready to go?
